WHAT DO I NEED TO GET IT TO WORK?
There is No subscription fees involved, No contract to sign.
All you need is an activated pre-paid GSM SIM Card from a provider such as AT&T, T-Mobile or H2O. Make sure you get a Standard (Mini) SIM Card.
NOTE THAT TRACFONE, VERIZON, VIRGIN SIM CARDS WILL NOT WORK WITH THESE UNITS
HOW DOES IT WORK?
The tracker gives out positioning information by receiving commands from a cell phone. All you have to do is send a text message using the cell phone to the tracking unit. It’ll pick up the message and send back a text to the phone.
You can call the unit or dial-up the number of the unit and it will hang up on you and send you back a text message showing the coordinates of its location. Then you can use those in your browser in software like Google Earth, to view the pictures of the location.
The TK102B has a Built-In Memory that can store up to 16,000 locations and automatically saves data when the Tracker loses the signal. It then sends the information to the authorized number after the signal resumes.
