The Icom ID-4100A is Icom's latest 50W VHF/UHF dual band D-STAR mobile transceiver. The ID-4100A will transmit on 144-148 and 430-450 MHz. It receives 118-174 and 230-550 MHz. Current drain is 13A during transmit and 1.2A under max audio receive. The ID-4100A is very user friendly and the full dot-matrix display gives the user the ability to see a lot of information on the screen. For example, Repeater list or GPS position are clearly arranged and easy to read. The Icom ID-4100A offers users the ability to pick between 4 backlight colors such as white, green, amber or blue. A night time backlight setting function allows you to automatically change the display backlight brightness when the designated time comes. Built in GPS comes included at no cost! Add the UT-137 Bluetooth board and download the RS-MS1I (for iOS) or RS-MS1A (for Android) to enable you to wirelessly connect to the ID-4100A and remotely set the DR functions, link with a map applications, and send/receive messages over the DV mode. In addition, pictures taken by a smart device can be transmitted via the DV Fast Data mode or DV mode. Other great features of the Icom ID-4100A include: Data place in voice frames transfer data 3.5 times faster (3480 bps) than the conventional DV mode (with voice), Terminal mode and access point mode, QUICK key allows instant access to menus listing dedicated functions depending on mode, Multiple scan functions for Memory/Bank scan, Full scan, Band scan, Program scan, Program link scan, Duplex scan, Tone scan and DR Scan, 16 channels of DTMF memory (24 digit), CTCSS/DTCS signaling with the split tone functions (analog mode), 8.33 kHz air band channel reception and Auto repeater function.
